Adobe Firefly | Unlimited generations expand creative AI workflows
Adobe has announced unlimited image and video generations in Adobe Firefly for eligible subscribers, expanding creative exploration across its all-in-one AI studio. Published on February 2, 2026, the update gives Firefly users access to unlimited generations with Adobe’s Firefly image and video models, plus partner models such as Google Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image Generation, and Runway Gen-4 Image.
Adobe Firefly gives creators more room to explore AI images and video
Adobe’s update is focused on creative iteration. Instead of limiting how many visual directions a creator can test, Firefly subscribers on eligible plans can now generate more image and video variations while refining concepts, comparing models, testing styles, and moving from early ideas toward more finished assets.
For designers, the important change is flexibility. Generative AI workflows often require multiple rounds of exploration before an image, storyboard, video clip, or campaign concept is useful. Unlimited generations can make that process less restrictive, especially when teams are testing different models, references, compositions, and visual directions.
How unlimited generations work in Firefly
Adobe says unlimited generations are available on firefly.adobe.com, in Firefly Boards, and in the Firefly mobile app for iOS and Android. This gives creators multiple entry points for image generation, video generation, ideation, visual exploration, and collaborative concept development.
The update includes access to Adobe’s commercially safe Firefly image and video models, as well as partner image models such as Google Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image Generation, and Runway Gen-4 Image. Firefly Boards also gives teams a shared space for references, generated assets, feedback, and fast iteration.
New creative options for AI-assisted production
The strongest workflow change is continuous exploration. Designers can test more variations of a concept, compare model outputs, build moodboards, generate references, and refine visual directions without stopping early because of generation limits.
Firefly also connects generated assets with tools such as Prompt to Edit, Firefly video editor, sound effects, licensed music tracks, Photoshop, and Premiere. That means the workflow does not end at generation; creators can continue editing, assembling, polishing, and preparing work for production.
For teams, this can support campaign ideation, social visuals, editorial concepts, pitch boards, seasonal graphics, short video drafts, storyboards, and AI-assisted visual testing. Designers should still review outputs for composition, brand accuracy, licensing, accessibility, visual artifacts, and final export quality before publishing.
Availability and eligible plans
Adobe says users who sign up before March 16 can get unlimited image and Firefly video generations up to 2K resolution in the Adobe Firefly app. The offer applies to customers on Firefly Pro, Firefly Premium, 4,000-credit, 7,000-credit, and 50,000-credit plans.
The unlimited generation offer is tied to eligible plans and Adobe’s stated promotional window. For professional workflows, creators should confirm current plan terms, model availability, resolution limits, commercial-use conditions, and export options directly in Adobe Firefly before building production schedules around the offer.
