Adobe | New ChatGPT Plugin Brings 70+ Creative Tools Into One Workflow

Adobe is bringing more of its creative ecosystem directly into ChatGPT with a new unified plugin that connects more than 70 tools across image editing, design, video, documents, and other creative workflows. Instead of selecting separate Adobe integrations for different tasks, creators can describe what they want to make and let the plugin bring the appropriate Adobe capabilities into the conversation.

Adobe brings its creative tools together inside ChatGPT

The Adobe plugin combines capabilities from Adobe Express, Photoshop, Firefly, Premiere, Acrobat, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, Stock, and other Adobe products. The goal is to let a project move across different creative tasks without requiring the user to manually choose a different integration each time.

A workflow can begin with a natural-language request in ChatGPT and continue through image editing, design preparation, video adaptation, document creation, or asset selection. When a project needs more precise controls, the resulting work can still move into Adobe's dedicated applications for deeper editing.

Creative projects can move through multiple Adobe tools in one conversation

The most useful part of the integration is its ability to connect different stages of a project. A creator can upload campaign photography, apply a consistent visual treatment, save finished assets to Creative Cloud, and continue transforming selected material into another type of design without restarting the workflow in a separate tool.

Video workflows can follow a similar path. Long-form footage can be turned into shorter content and adapted for formats such as YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels. Design projects can also begin with template discovery, continue with changes to copy and colors, and then move into animation or PDF output.

Adobe tools can handle both visual assets and document workflows

The plugin is not limited to image generation or photo editing. Adobe also demonstrates workflows where structured information from spreadsheets or datasets can be transformed into formatted PDFs such as catalogs, event badges, infographics, and other presentation-ready documents.

For designers, this makes the integration more interesting as a production layer rather than a single-purpose AI feature. Visual assets, document preparation, template customization, and content adaptation can become connected parts of the same conversation while still using Adobe tools for the actual creative operations.

Guest access and Adobe accounts offer different levels of integration

The Adobe plugin can be added from ChatGPT's plugin directory and activated during a conversation with @Adobe or through the plugin selector. Adobe says creators can begin as guests with access to a broad selection of tools, so an Adobe sign-in is not required for every basic workflow.

Connecting an Adobe account expands what the plugin can do. Signed-in users can access generative capabilities, work with Creative Cloud files, and save projects across sessions. That can be more useful for ongoing design work where assets need to remain available beyond a single conversation.

IMPORTANT: Adobe says the unified plugin is available globally on ChatGPT web and app. Some capabilities, including generative features, Creative Cloud file access, and saving work across sessions, require signing in with an Adobe account.{alertWarning}

Daisuki's Take: What This Means for Designers

The important shift here is not simply that Adobe tools are accessible from ChatGPT. Bringing many of them under one plugin makes it possible to think about the creative task first and the individual application second, especially during early production and repetitive content work.

For designers, that could make conversational workflows more practical when a project moves between several small operations: preparing images, exploring templates, adapting video, producing variations, and packaging the final material. The value comes from keeping those operations connected instead of treating every Adobe product as a separate starting point.

We would still move into Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, or another dedicated Adobe application when a project reaches the stage where layers, masks, precise typography, detailed compositing, or other fine controls become important. The plugin looks more useful as a bridge between creative intent and Adobe's tools than as a replacement for the full applications.
