CyberLink Director Suite | AI Tools Expand Creative Editing

CyberLink's July 2026 Director Suite 365 updates expand AI-assisted editing across PowerDirector, PhotoDirector, and Promeo. Creators can guide video changes through chat and reference images, replace clothing inside footage, generate campaign visuals with editable text, customize AI collages, and apply automated framing across an entire project.

Director Suite 365 adds more ways to guide AI edits

PowerDirector's Video Edit by Chat now accepts a reference photo alongside conversational instructions. Instead of describing every visual detail from the beginning, editors can provide an example, review the result, and continue requesting changes until the footage moves closer to the intended look.

PhotoDirector also expands Edit by Chat with a choice of AI models. This gives creators more flexibility when one model is better suited to a particular style, correction, or visual direction, although each generated result should still be reviewed for consistency and unwanted changes.

AI Video Try-On changes clothing inside footage

PhotoDirector introduces AI Video Try-On for replacing outfits directly in videos. Creators can change a complete look, swap an individual clothing item, or describe a new outfit with a text prompt without preparing every garment variation through a traditional editing workflow.

This can be useful for fashion concepts, character experiments, social content, and early campaign previews. The final footage should still be checked frame by frame because clothing boundaries, body movement, textures, and visual continuity can become more difficult to preserve once the subject begins moving.

Promeo keeps campaign text editable after generation

Promeo's new AI Design Studio generates campaign-ready visuals from a product photo or a written description. Its most practical difference is that the generated text remains editable, allowing designers to correct the copy and adjust its placement without recreating the complete design.

AI Video Edit by Chat extends the same conversational approach to marketing footage. A creator can describe a campaign direction, such as a luxury product advertisement, and use the resulting edit as a starting point for promotional videos that still need brand, message, and audience review.

Photo layouts and image details remain adjustable

AI Collage in PhotoDirector now allows creators to customize the generated layout instead of treating the first composition as a finished result. This is important when image balance, spacing, hierarchy, or subject placement needs to follow an existing visual direction.

The GenAI Image Enhancer adds a one-click option for improving clarity and detail. As with other enhancement tools, designers should inspect faces, text, edges, textures, and small objects at full size to confirm that added detail has not altered the original content.

Auto Reframe and RAW support improve the surrounding workflow

PowerDirector's enhanced Auto Reframe can process all the clips in a project in one step, keeping important subjects visible when adapting footage for different social platforms and aspect ratios. This can reduce repetitive framing work when the same video needs several output versions.

PhotoDirector also expands RAW compatibility through LibRaw integration, adding support for 280 additional camera models. These updates belong to different applications within Director Suite 365, so creators should confirm the required product, installed version, and any applicable AI access conditions before planning a complete workflow around one feature.

Daisuki's Take: What This Means for Designers

The strongest direction in this update is the move from one-time AI generation toward guided editing. Reference images, continued conversation, model selection, and customizable layouts give creators more opportunities to correct a result instead of repeatedly starting over.

Promeo's editable campaign text is especially useful because generated typography often needs human correction. Keeping copy and placement adjustable preserves an important part of the normal design process while still using AI to accelerate the first composition.

We would use these tools for exploration, repetitive adjustments, and early production drafts, while preserving a careful final review. Faster generation is valuable, but visual continuity, readable text, accurate product representation, responsive framing, and brand consistency still depend on deliberate design decisions.
